our national anthem....
facts about our national anthem..do u know about this.....

i have always wondered who is the"adhinayaka"and "bharat bhagya vidhata"
whose praise r we singing ,i thought it was mother india!it is currently sung throughout the country..
To begin with india's national anthem "jana gana man adhinayaka" was written
by Rabindranth tagore in the honour of king George v and queen of england when they visisted india in 1919.

To honour them pt.jawaharlal nehru had the 5 stanzas included which r in the prasie if them..(and most of us think it is in the praise our motherland!!!)

The jana gana mana adhinayaka implies that king george v is the lord of the masses
and bharat bhagya vidhata "is the bestower of good fortune"

the followin is the translation of the 5 stanzas that glorify the king..

1st stanza:-people(indians)wake up rememberin u r name ask fr u r blessings and sing fr u r glories(tava shubha naam jaage,tava shubha ashish maaga,gaaye tava shubha gaatha)

2nd stanza :-around u r throne people of all religion come and give thier love and anxiously wait fr u kind words..

3rd stanza :-praise to the king fr being the charioteer ,,fr leadin the ancient travellers beyond misery..

4th stanza:- drowned in deep ignorance and suffering,poverty-stricken uncouncious country,waitin fr u wink of u r eye and u r mothers true protection..(queen's)

5th stanza:-in u r compassionate plans the sleeping bharat (india)will wake up.we bow down to u rfeet o' queen and the king..

this whole poem does not indicate any love to our mother land but it showa a bleak picture.when u r singing"jana gana mana "whom r u glorifyin ,certainly nt the motherland ,is it god?the poem doest nt indicate tht..then whom????

want to fall in love????????

when life gives u thousands reasons to cry
show that u have a million reasons to smile
so keep smilimg...........

we all want to fall in love..why????????
because that experience makes us feel completely alive
where every sense is heightened
and every emotion is magnified
and we fly to the heavens..
it may last only a maoment ,an hour or a day..
but that doesnt diminish its value
because we are left with memories
that we treasure throughout our lifeee.....

Todays Oprah Winfrey show was just amazing.., yes.., I watch OPRAH ! So wat !? She's one of a kind lady.., an angel on earth. Today was the season premiere of 'Wildest dreams come true' spl on Oprah. She keeps doing these specials on her show where she makes a few lucky ppl's Wildest dreams come true. Yeah., really lucky ppl. Many ppl wud just kill to meet Oprah., a dream come true in its own rights.
The First Wildest dream come true was just mind blowing ! It wud b so electrifying that they actually had EMTs standing by in case someone's heart cudn't take the sudden surpise.
She called up 11 ppl on stage who didn't know Y they were coming on Oprah.Surprise! They're all getting the new 2005 Pontiac® G6™—hot off the line and fully loaded! But the surprises don't end there… "I've got a little twist," Oprah says. "I've got one car left, and someone in the audience will have a chance to go home with a brand new Pontiac G6!" The plot thickens…
Everyone in the audience is getting a key to a 2005 Pontiac® G6™! This brand-new mid-size sedan has one of the most powerful engines on the road, an XM Satellite Radio®, a Panoramic
roof, an OnStar® safety system, just to name a few features—plus each audience member even gets to pick a snazzy color. Let the screaming begin!

WOW ! Some Lucky Ppl there !!!

Next wildest dream come true was so touchy., that at the end of the story., a happy ending that is.., I had tears in my eyes.

20-year-old Alex says as children, she and her siblings were mistreated and never shown any affection. Since the age of 13, she has bounced from foster homes to shelters and life on the street in Los Angeles. The one thing Alex has always clung to is that she could turn her life around on her own. Despite her struggle, Alex was the first female in her family to graduate from high school, earning her diploma in 2001. Alex's determination didn't stop there—she enrolled in community college, but without enough tuition money, she dropped out and returned to the streets. "I know that my education is my ticket to my dream," Alex says. "It's what is going to make me successful in life and what's going to secure my future for me. That's something I have forever, and no one will ever be able to take that away from me. That's something I really, really want, and I'm not going to give up on that. I'm going to keep going until I have my dream met."

Alex had written to The Oprah Winfrey Show asking for a makeover to boost her spirits, so Tyra Banks and her America's Next Top Model team surprised her in L.A., got to work on the already adorable Alex and set up a fabulous fashion photo shoot. Check out this glam girl now! The surprises for Alex didn't end there. In her letter to Oprah requesting a makeover, Alex expressed her true wildest dream—to hug Oprah, whom she calls her "imaginary mother." So, Tyra brought her to Chicago for the season premiere…

Welcome to Chicago, Alex, and say hello to Oprah! "You've been through hell, and we believe that all you need is somebody who believes in you," Oprah says. "I do. I believe in you." To achieve her deepest, wildest dreams, Alex is getting a full scholarship—including tuition, room and board, and books—to the college of her choice, thanks to SBC Communications! Alex will also look cool on campus with a $10,000 wardrobe from Express. After hearing her story today, the good people of GM® decided Alex needs to drive to campus in style too—in her new 2005 Pontiac® G6™! Alex, we're all inspired by you.

Next story is just too movie like to believe that ppl like these really exist among us. Read on..,

For decades, Connie and Ronald Taylor have been foster parents to the children nobody seemed to want—they've parented 42 children! Currently, eight adopted and foster children are in their loving care. Neighbors have watched them financially struggle for years as the Taylors have given so much love. The neighbors believe they're living angels and the neighborhood wouldn't be the same without them. Unfortunately, the owner of the Taylor's home is going to sell the house in just a few weeks.

So its Oprahs turn to do her thing..,Connie and Ronald Taylor received $130,000 for their family, courtesy of Oprah's Angel Network, so they can buy a home for their family, pay for closing costs and any home upgrades that may be needed! Best Buy, Crate and Barrel, and The Land of Nod got in on the fun and contributed new appliances, furniture and more! Congratulations, Taylors!

This is how it should be.., Happy Ending to All those people who deserve it. Three cheers to OPRAH !

CAT mania

It's that time of the year again,where every ad on evry newspaper has words like CAT,
TIME or IMS(komal xcuse me,ur institute doesnt advertise much man:p)have in them.
Yes, join TIME,study for CAT ,Get into IIM ,easy thing(thatz wht the ad says n even true)!!!
Or,if you can write XAT,MAT and then life will not be gr8,but set the life almost same.
So what do ppl do?
CAT Aspirant no. 1
Dude,I've taken a complete year man! I'm only workin on mock CATs ,tryin to improve my
marks,tryin to learn vedic maths.I want to be in my world during those 2 hours,jus not
botherin about the outside world!(one of our 'trinity' guys belongs to thsi family,guess who)
CAT Aspirant no. 2
Yes,dude,I really think that all the exams I've written so far in my life mean nothing
compared to the CAT I'm going to write in Novemeber.Those 2 hours are going to make or
break my life.Which is why,I have joined the TIME's long term batch(13months rey).The
course gives you suggestions in makin of an IIM ,what he eats every morning,what music
he listens to and even which actress he dies about haha .

But rationally speakin,isn't there a part of you which feels that CAt is may be
oversensationalized?That the ones who feel intersted feel life is success in CAt .But
for others who do not,there are 2 options in order to tame the CAt,You could slog for a
year and half masterin their mathematical skills and give CAt your best shot or you could
write a blog feelin that you're not going to do very well in it,justify why and feel happy
about yourself.
Guys,those who decide to go for CAT coaching this year,regular followup will be enuf,
remember it will be a hard time thru out if u dun make a regular followup ,and those
who do it find crackin CAt very easy and interstin.

Somethin pro.....,
Hi!
Since it’s the Job hunting season for many of the freshers and final year graduates., I’ve gone through many articles about Resume and Curriculum Vitaes and tried my best and compiled some of the points that were basic and necessary enough for all of us to know while applying for a Job or for higher studies. Hope this helps..,

The main differences between a CV (curriculum vitae) and a Resume are the length and content.
The Résumé is a brief summary of your skills, qualifications and experience.
It is usually a page long or sometimes even two. It is usually a concise review of your technical and personal skills.
The CV is relatively longer and more detailed. It is usually two or more pages long and it has details about the educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details.
Points to be remembered while preparing a CV:
  • Clear - well-organized and logical

  • Concise - relevant and necessary

  • Complete - includes everything you need

  • Consistent - don't mix styles or fonts

  • Current - up-to-date
Don't just write one CV and use it for every position you apply for. In addition to your education and work history, your CV should contain your research experience, publications, grants and fellowships, courses taught, institutional service, professional associations, accreditation, presentation, licenses, and awards.
What Not to Include :: There is no need to include your photo, your salary history, the reason you left your previous position, or references in your CV. References should be listed separately and given to employers upon request.

Coming to Résumés.., It is a public relations piece, with you as the product, containing facts chosen to create a favorable impression. The purpose is to bring you to the attention of a prospective employer, so that you will get an interview. Although there are many different styles and types of resumes, every resume will and should be unique to the writer's experience and goals.
There are three most common formats, which are Chronological, Functional, and Targeted/Combination.

Chronological:
  • Detail work experience in reverse chronological order.

  • Include work history and education.

  • Easiest to prepare.

  • Most favored by organizations - preferred by 83% of corporate human resource professionals

Electronic
  • Scannable Resumes are designed to be entered into a computerized database. The resume is read by a scanner and stored in text format.

  • E-mail Resumes also deserve special attention to ensure an organized transfer of your information.
Combination
  • Focus on a position / job target. Present capabilities in support of that position.

  • Permit you to prominently relate you ability to do the job even if skills and experience are not recent.

  • Must research the position sought.

  • Include job titles & dates of employment
Here are some sample resumes for My fellow engineers
Computer science and IT
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Chemical Engineering

Hope all this helps.., I gotto go now., prepare my own Resume !!! See ya !

This is an 'personal experince article ' that I wrote on a friendship site long ago. Had a word limit so Had to use all the short forms . Hope u can make out wat I was tryin to convey there. HERE is the link to the original article.

Hi Ppl !
This aint one of those bout gr8 achievments in skool or job,its bout me breakin from ma shell and openin up to life a lil more.
Untill my Inter(10+2)I was a very shy guy.Shy in d sense I was kinda introvert., not outgoing.,and a lil reserved n shy with ppl outside of my close family and friend circle. I was havin prtty lot fun with my frnds (no girls) but i neva realised how much fun I was missing out. There were many girls telling me not to be so shy with ppl especially with girls and I was wondering wat da big deal was !
Life changed when I joined my engnrng. There were all kindsa ppl around me, with so many diffrnt prsnalties.,and it was not like b4., we were not kids.so many intrstn and nice girls around me that I really wanted to talk to., but didnt have the guts to, obvious coz of my histry with gals.,which is.,ell.,blank!
When I Bcame a Snr,I decided to take advntge of ragging to get rid of my shyness.I was always afraid of how ppl wud react to wat I said, wat If i said sumthin wrong or stupid.no Jnr wud dare laugh at me rite.So I put my plan in action and guess wat!Everyone liked me 4 wat I was! Later,a few frnds of myn sat me down and gave me a short lecture on trustin ppl and the fun bout bein an outgoin person. now,Lifes gr8,I have LOTs of frnds and a few gr8 gals among them.COOL !
Me just tellin u shy ppl out there, Its never too late to change, Open up, Njoy life !

Why I Have the Greatest Friends on the Planet

1. They love me relentlessly
2. They will always ditch their diets for tears and ice cream
3. They will never dump me, tell me I’m thin, or undeserving
4. In a dark alley they are always on my side
5. When I’m sad they take me to country concerts!
6. They always hold me up when I’m too lazy to walk
7. They would figure out how to move that mountain for me if I really needed them to
8. At my darkest moments they know how to make me laugh
9. They could make a cardboard box entertaining
10. I am never alone, they are always in my heart

It was the second treat for Karthik's Bday ! Boy ! He's generous ! Naaa...., :P
I felt a little bad bout not being able to treat my friends for my Bday this year so I pooled some money with karthik n arranged for a small treat at Cafe Coffee day.

It was the first time that we were late and preetham came early ! Damn ! Thats alrite., atleast we didn't have to wait this time ! The place was gr8., our finances were ok.,all of us looked good., actually we looked gr8 ! So.., our photoshoot begins almost immediately with me more enthu to shoot than b shot . The lightin was not in accord with us so., cudn't get all the pics right. Here are some that came out pretty good. Oh wow ! Rohit's posin 4 the cam ! now thats somethin we don see everyday ! But he looks good., doesn't he ???

Hmm...., I think I'll have one 'Devil's Own'.., hey ! wat a coincidence., I din notice it then., I'm dressed in the Devil's own colour !!!

THE CAMERA FREAK !!!

Beware.., the GANG...,

One silly experiment that no other 'grown ups' wanted to try out., oh well ., who cares as long as we three are together.., we did it ! and I think it came out ok ! All together.., everyone had fun I guess. Another chapter in the book of life ends here.., waits to begin one tomorrow..,

~~~~~~~~~~~ BIRTHDAY BASH !!!! ....., B4 THE BIRTHDAY !!!???~~~~~~~~~
Karthik's Bday treat 2day ! Wow ! Grand Kakatiya ? Taj ? Na.., karthik's too modest for that. He left the option open 4 us to choose the place. The good guy U think ? hmm.., he wont go too far from home., Doesn't wanna go back to places he's already tried ., wake up man ! We're in Hyderabad ! We ain't got too many options man !Dressed in his Brilliant green shirt and my semi casual attire ., we started out to the LifeStyle building wher the restaurant was located. We finally made it to "Carrots" after deciding to try out a new place no one has been b4 to.
It was a nice Little place with good food and a well decorated interior and calm atmosphere .., just wat we needed to spend some quality time together and yes., have some good food.,c'mon ! we're hungry now having waited for preetham for 2 whole hours ! The serene , calm ambience of the restaurant was soon broken by my over exited gang conversing bout college ., movies and girls.
From there ., we made a quick visit to LifeStyle . From there we went to the best disco in town.., YEAH RITE !!! Like thats ever gonna happen ! My gang really needs to grow up. Its our last year together., we're 20 yrs above now ., we need to freak out more., need to Xperience the night life ! Anyways., the next place we went to doesn't surpise me.,
KBR Nature park..,
We were the only guys there below 40 yrs.., lol :P
We did have fun though., did lotsa photography ., pointless picture taking ., everyone of us and Mr.Preetam tryin to act like he ain't interested. He's the most looks-obsessed guy next to karthik ! Soon, he also succumbed to the temptation and joined the photo frenzy. Here's him., all 10+ cms of hair. :P
We never took a picture of all of us together ., so I used my graphics expertise to mess some pics and make up a grp photo. Here we are ., wet n dampened by the rain but out spirits still high !
Friends
#In kindergarten your idea of a good friend was theperson who let you have the red crayon when all that was left was the uglyblack one.
# In first grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who went to the bathroom with you and held your hand as you walkedthrough the scary halls.
#In second grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who helped you stand up to the class bully.
#In third grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who shared their lunch with you when you forgot yours on the bus.
#In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who was willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn'thave to be stuck do-si-do-ing with Nasty Nick or Smelly Susan.
#In fifth grade your idea of a friend was the personwho saved a seat on the back of the bus for you.
#In sixth grade your idea of a friend was the personwho went up to Nick or Susan, your new crush, and asked them to dance withyou, so that if they said no you wouldn't have to be embarrassed.
#In seventh grade your idea of a friend was the personwho let you copy the social studies homework from the night before that youhad.
#In eighth grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who helped you pack up your stuffed animals and old baseball butdidn't laugh at you when you finished and broke out into tears.
#In ninth grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who would go to a party thrown by a senior so you wouldn't wind up beingthe only freshman there.
#In tenth grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who changed their schedule so you would have someone to sit with atlunch.
#In eleventh grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who gave you rides in their new car, convinced your parents thatyou shouldn't be grounded, consoled you when you broke up with Nick orSusan, and found you a date to the prom.
#In twelfth grade your idea of a good friend was theperson who helped you pick out a college/university, assured you that youwould get into that college/university, helped you deal with your parentswho were having a hard time adjusting to the idea of letting you go...
#At graduation your idea of a good friend was theperson who was crying on the inside but managed the biggest smile one couldgive as they congratulated you.
#The summer after twelfth grade your idea of a goodfriend was the person who helped you clean up the bottles from that party,helped you sneak out of the house when you just couldn't deal with your parents,assured you that now that you and Nick or you and Susan were back together,you could make it through anything, helped you pack up for universityand just silently hugged you as you looked through blurry eyes at 18 years ofmemories you were leaving behind, and finally on those last days ofchildhood, went out of their way to give you reassurance that you would makeit in college as well as you had these past 18 years, and most importantlysent you off to college knowing you were loved.
----#Now, your idea of a good friend is still the personwho gives you the better of the two choices, holds your hand when you'rescared, helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you,thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you haveforgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understands when you needto hold on to it a little longer, stays with you so that you haveconfidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up yourmistakes, helps you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when theyare sad, helps you become a better person, and most importantly lovesyou!
======================================================
I've had a lot of friends down the ages, many whom I lost touch with, many from whom I've drifted away from...and I've made many new friends who, even if they cannot replace my old friends, are just as important to me now, as my old friends were then...and then there are many of my old friends, with whom I still keep close....I'd like to thank all of them, for accepting me as I am, and for giving me that precious thing that is so hard to find nowadays...friendship.
